Mullica Hill Post Office to be renamed in honor of a fallen soldier

The following comes from the United States Postal Service.

Officials from the U.S. Postal Service will host a renaming ceremony for the Mullica Hill Post Office building on Nov. 8.

The Mullica Hill Post Office building will be renamed in honor of 2nd Lt. James C. “Billy” Johnson who was killed in action on Oct. 22, 1944, in Italy.

The bill, sponsored by Congressman Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ2), was signed into law by President Trump on March 23 and will officially dedicate the postal facility located at 123 Bridgeton Pike as the 2nd Lieutenant James C. “Billy” Johnson Post Office Building.

A special ceremony including elected and postal officials, family and friends will be held Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. to unveil the official plaque to be displayed at the Mullica Hill Post Office.
