Letter to the Editor: Ravitz and Nocito are a Voorhees team

Steve Ravitz urges support for his son as election date draws closer for Voorhees Township Committee

Dear Friend:

My name is Steve Ravitz and my son Jason, along with Michelle Nocito, are running for re-election as Democrats for Voorhees Township Committee. I have been operating a family business in South Jersey since 1968, which has grown into the Ravitz Family Shop Rites and Price Rite of Camden.

Jason has always wanted to hold elective office and serve his community. As some of you may have heard, Jason has been attacked by his political opponents in this year’s campaign. While Jason was provoked by anti-Semitic and racist insults made against him and his friends, he has publicly apologized for the ensuing incident and regrets his actions.

I am proud of my son for taking responsibility for his actions. Jason is a man of good character and throughout his life has been willing to make tough decisions, never hiding from doing what is right. Jason keeps his promises and is someone on whom you can rely.

In addition to his strong work ethic, Jason and his two brothers built our small family foundation into a non-profit entity known as the Ravitz Family Foundation which has helped thousands of people in need in South Jersey. Jason’s commitment to our family business and to his community makes me proud.

Lastly, and most importantly, Jason is a wonderful, loving, and nurturing father to his son, Andrew and his daughter, Jessie. It makes me a proud grandfather when I watch Jason raising his own children.

I have also had the privilege of getting to know his outstanding running mate and colleague on Township Committee, Michelle Nocito. Michelle is a brilliant, independent woman with a strong will to succeed in whatever life challenges she faces. She has boundless energy and has worked tirelessly in the area of public safety to make sure Voorhees is a safe place in which to live, work and raise a family.

With voter apathy at an all time high, it is more important than ever to get out and vote or vote by mail. I am incredibly proud of my eldest son. Jason and his running mate, Michelle Nocito, are a team who Voorhees residents will be proud of as well. Please vote Nocito & Ravitz for Voorhees Township Committee on Tuesday, November 6th. Thank you.

Steve Ravitz,

President of the Supermarkets of Cherry Hill,

Ravitz Family Shop Rite and Price Rite of Camden
