Halloween is just around the corner.

Deptford Township will celebrate on Halloween night with official Trick or Treat times between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the township on Oct. 31.

If you can’t wait until Halloween night, the annual “Trunk or Treat” event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Deptford Recreation Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. “Trunk or Treat” is limited to the first 500 Deptford children that register (with proof of residency).

Free wristbands will be given out for two different time slots (6 to 7 p.m., 7 to 8 p.m.) and can also be picked up in the manager’s office at the municipal building up until Oct. 24. For more info, email [email protected], call (856) 845-0804, or check out the event Facebook page.

If you simply cannot wait any longer to get into the Halloween spirit, the Deptford Free Public Library is hosting the New Jersey Researchers or Paranormal Evidence (NJ ROPE) tonight (Oct. 23.) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. ROPE NJ, which uncovers local paranormal activity, was founded in 2009 and refers to itself as a “very active team of investigators” that averages more than 70 cases per year.

And this weekend at the Deptford Mall, kids of all ages can take part in “Halloween Stars Ways Day” on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. outside Boscov’s and Red Robin. Kids can dress in costume and interact with the Wookie Warrior and Galaxy Princess. The event also includes balloon sculpting, coloring fun, and of course, Halloween treats.

One more time and date to take note of: curfew in Deptford Township will be at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, also known, of course, as Mischief Night.
