The 5K race and 1 mile “Fun Run” will take place on Oct. 20.
The Medford Milers, a local running club started in 1999, is hosting its second annual 5K race/1 mile “Fun Run” on Saturday, Oct. 20 in Medford. The race event starts and finishes at Freedom Park in Medford (near the Medford Public Safety Building on Union St.) Participants will enjoy a flat, fast course. The 5K course runs through the streets of historic Medford and will have water stops and professionally timed mile markers. There will be post-race refreshments, high quality tech shirts and music provided by local DJ, Marsdale Productions. Proceeds raised from the run/walk will benefit the Medford Vincentown Rotary Halloween Parade which takes place in downtown Medford the following weekend.
Costumes are optional (in honor of the upcoming parade) with awards for best male and female costumes, as well as fastest overall male, fastest overall female and fastest males and females in many different age categories.
