Monroe Township Police Department conducting investigation of Freedom Auto Sales

Press release from MTPD Facebook page

The Monroe Township Police Department and the New Jersey Division of Taxation — Office of Criminal Investigation are conducting an investigation into Freedom Auto Sales, LLC, 1982 N. Black Horse Pike, Williamstown, and the owner.

We have received an inordinate amount of telephone calls from customers that have not received a title and/or registration and are working to contact everyone who has called.

If you purchased a vehicle from Freedom Auto Sales, LLC and have not received a title and/or registration, please do BOTH of the following:

Contact the Gloucester County Division of Consumer Affairs at (856) 384–6855 or visit http://gloucestercountynj.gov/depts/c/cpwm/concomplaint.asp. Complete and print the complaint form found at the link on top of the page and please submit photocopies of the bill of sale, credit contract, and any correspondence relating to the problem and return those documents to the address listed on the form.

Contact the NJ Division of Motor Vehicles “Dealer Out of Business Unit” at (609) 292–6500 ext. 5064. Once you begin working with that unit, you may call (609) 984–0428 to apply to receive temporary registrations as the case is investigated by motor vehicles.

Monroe Township Police Department and the New Jersey Division of Taxation — Office of Criminal Investigation are only seeking those who have provided the business, or its owner, assets as an investment not customers who purchased vehicles.

If you have any additional concerns, you may contact Det. Derrick Jacobus at (856) 728–9800 ext. 501. Please have patience in receiving a return call. Once you have left a message, additional calls are not necessary.
