Session No. 11 of the ETPD Citizen’s Police Academy will start on Tuesday, Sept. 25 and run until Nov. 13.

The Evesham Township Police Department is now accepting applications for its next Citizen’s Police Academy now through Sept. 20.
According to department officials, this class is for anyone who has ever wondered what it’s like to be a police officer or for those who want to see what it takes to run a police department.
Session No. 11 of the ETPD Citizen’s Police Academy will start on Tuesday, Sept. 25 and run until Nov. 13.
Classes will be held at the Evesham Township Municipal Complex each Tuesday night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for eight weeks.
Police officials describe the academy as a “great opportunity” to get to know the members of the department and experience a behind the scenes look at a nationally accredited law enforcement agency.
Some of the topics covered will be traffic/DWI enforcement, criminal investigation, canine deployment and use of force. The classes will also be taking a trip to the 911 call center for a tour and utilization of the firearms training simulator.
Applications can be picked up at the municipal complex or downloaded from the police department website at www.eveshampd.org.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age and either be a resident of Evesham Township or a business owner in Evesham Township.
