Police respond to domestic disputes, car accidents, noise complaints, more

The following reports are on file with the Mantua Township Police Department:

July 27

•Officers conducted foot patrol of Chestnut Branch Park in the late morning hours.

•Officers responded to a missing person report where a 16-year-old child left with their parent’s vehicle. Vehicle and child returned shortly after officers arrived on scene.

•Officers responded to a noise complaint at 2:30 in the afternoon for a loud radio.

•Officers responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Home Depot.

July 28

•Officers responded to a noise complaint at the White Oak Apartments for a report of a neighbor banging on the walls just after midnight.

•Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend in the Sewell section over a cell phone. A restraining order was requested.

•Patrols responded to the Target store for a report of a shoplifter that had fled prior to our arrival. We were able to identify the suspect and complaints are pending.

•Patrols responded to a burglary and theft of a residence where items were taken during the family vacation.

•Officers responded to the new Wawa for a report of a minor crash in the parking lot.

•Officers located a tree branch hanging across the roadway of Heritage Road. The fire department responded and removed it.

July 29

•Officers assisted a Wenonah resident that was locked out of their house. Officers were able to assist in gaining entry to the house.

•Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned up trash in Wenonah.

•Officers responded to a domestic dispute between a daughter and her parents. It was only a verbal argument.

•Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash at the Wenonah Swim Club. The striking vehicle was located and charged.

•Officers received a call that an intoxicated subject took a relative’s vehicle without their permission. The vehicle was later located and the subject was charged with DUI.

July 30

•Officers responded to workers digging in the Sewell section and struck a gas line. The fire department and South Jersey Gas responded.

•Ptl. Oldrati escorted a small group of children around police headquarters and gave them a tour of the facility.

•Officers took a report for a stolen cellular phone.

•Officers took a hit-and-run crash report for an incident that occurred in the Dollar General parking lot.

•Officers took another hit-and-run crash report for an incident that occurred in the Kohls parking lot.

•Officers took a harassment report because he found items in his mailbox that were located on the Internet about him.

•Sgt Herner conducted a motor vehicle stop and requested the assistance of Ptl. Mroz and his K-9 partner Zuke. There was a positive indication to the vehicle and a significant quantity of drugs was located inside the vehicle. Two subjects were arrested and turned over to the county jail.

July 31

•Units responded to a minor crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Lucys Custard.

•Ptl. Riepen and his K-9 partner Bane assisted the Deptford Police Department on two separate occasions with a vehicle sniff in which there was a positive indication to the vehicle.

•Patrols responded to a crash on Route 45 in the area of the Telford Inn.
