Evesham Council approves 30-year PILOT agreement for affordable housing complex
Evesham Township Council has approved a 30-year Payment In Lieu Of Taxes agreement for a proposed 64-unit apartment complex on Executive Drive near Route 73, of which 100 percent of the units will be designated as affordable housing for low- and moderate-income families.
Evesham Police arrest woman in alleged burglary of $100,000 in jewelry and handbags
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On July 17 at approximately 1 a.m., Evesham Officers responded to the 700 block of Roberts Lane for a report of an alleged home burglary that occurred within the hour. Police say an investigation determined that entry was gained through an unlocked rear door. Once inside, police say the alleged burglar ransacked the home, allegedly stealing approximately $100,000 worth of jewelry and handbags.
New legislation would lower shipping costs for Operation Yellow Ribbon to send care packages
Legislation recently introduced by Congressman Tom MacArthur seeks to reverse rate changes by requiring the USPS to create a flat rate to ship packages to military locations overseas. This would help the Marlton-based Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey deal with recent rate increases.

The deadline for Burlington County residents looking to file a petition to run in their local November school board elections will be here soon. Residents have until 4 p.m. on July 30 to file their completed nominating petitions with the office of Burlington County Clerk Timothy Tyler.
State aid reductions to hit the Lenape Regional High School District
At this week’s Lenape Regional High School District Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Carol Birnbohm said that on Friday, July 13, the district was notified its state aid for the upcoming school year has been reduced by $961,456.
