The township is also promoting free snow cones from local business Pelican’s Snoballs at the event.
Mt. Laurel Township will hold an official grand opening ceremony for the recently completed playground upgrades at Laurel Acres Park on Thursday, July 19 at 5:30 p.m.
Those upgrades include new climbing bars and jungle gyms with slides, bridges and ladders, as well as a rubber material for flooring that’s safer and softer than the previous wood mulch flooring.
The equipment is also more accessible to children or families with disabilities.
The township is also promoting free snow cones from local business Pelican’s Snoballs at the grand opening ceremony.
Following the grand opening, residents can stay for this year’s first summer concert at Laurel Acres Park on July 19 set to feature The Jersey Boomers from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.
Residents are advised to use the 1045 S. Church St. entrance to the park.
