Lockheed Martin is driven by a sense of purpose and a passion for innovation to shape the future and solve some of the world’s most difficult challenges, and it brings that same passion and sense of purpose to local communities, playing an active role in helping to strengthen the quality of life where they live and work.

On June 26, Moorestown-based employees wrapped up a month long fundraising activity titled Project M.E.N.U. (Mission: Engage. Nourish, Unite) benefiting the Food Bank of South Jersey.

Jim Sheridan, Vice President and Moorestown General Manager presented a check on behalf of the employees in the $57,568.

“The generosity of the Lockheed Martin Moorestown employees gives me a strong sense of pride,” Sheridan said. “Our employees demonstrate their kindness and selflessness through volunteer opportunities and charitable giving. Project M.E.N.U. is just one opportunity to give back to the community and make an impact on those in need.”

“Every year, Lockheed Martin’s Project M.E.N.U. surpasses our expectations. The employees do an incredible job raising funds for food insecure South Jersey residents” said Joe Njoroge, Interim President & CEO, Food Bank of South Jersey. “90 cents of every dollar received goes directly to our direct services programs which provide healthy food to working poor families, seniors and veterans. Thanks to Lockheed Martin for supporting our mission in such a meaningful way.”

The Moorestown facility raised $57,568 which is the equivalent to 287,840 meals.
