Evesham Police arrest man for allegedly stalking a woman for nearly 10 years

Police say the arrested man graduated high school with the victim in 1988.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On May 18, officials with the Evesham Township Police Department say a female arrived at the department to report that she had allegedly been stalked and harassed by an unknown person for nearly 10 years.

According to police, the victim reported that she received cards, letters and inappropriate gifts a few times each year. However, the victim said that recently the activity had increased.

Police say the increased activity consisted of fictitious advertisements on Craigslist and gifts left in her home mailbox, along with letters and inappropriate gifts sent to her employer.

According to police, the victim was unable to identify a possible suspect or why someone would be targeting her. Police then prepared and served numerous websites and service providers with court subpoenas.

From those records, police say that investigators were able to identify a man who they suspected as the alleged stalker. Police say this male graduated high school with the victim in 1988.

On June 11, police say they located the male and arrested him following an interview with investigators.

Arrested:

A male, age 47, of Philadelphia, was charged with fourth-degree stalking. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail without bail.
