Palmyra police participating in National Take Back Day

Residents will be able to bring in unwanted medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday

The Palmyra Police Department will be collecting any old and unwanted medications residents need to discard from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, which is “Drug Take Back Day.”

The police department is asking residents to bring unwanted medications to the department’s headquarters, and they will make sure the items are turned over to the DEA for safe destruction. No liquids, sharp objects or ointments will be accepted.

If you cannot attend on Saturday, the department maintains a collection box in the lobby of the headquarters.
