Shred Day to take place on April 7

Kick off spring cleaning with Washington Township’s Shred Day event this Saturday.

Washington Township will host a Shred Day event on Saturday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Washington Township Municipal Building parking lot. The building is located at 523 Egg Harbor Road in Sewell.

Community members are invited to bring bags and boxes of paper to shred — helping reduce clutter and getting rid of confidential material. The event helps protect residents from identity theft while also going green —100% of the shredded paper is recycled.

No plastic bags, metal, three-ring binders or binder clips are permitted. Paper clips and staples are OK.

Residents are asked to bring identification and no more than four bags or boxes per car.

A Shred Day event will also be held later in the year, on October 20, from 9 a.m. to noon for those who can’t make it.
