West Jersey Chamber to perform Palm Sunday

The event will take place on Sunday, March 24 at First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown.

Accompanied by the famed West Jersey Chamber Symphony, more than 130 voices from the Junior Choir (grades two to four), Choristers (grades five to eight) and Chapel Choir (grades night to twelve) of First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown will present a spring concert of worshipful songs on Sunday, March 25 at 7 p.m. at the church. The young people have been preparing since September and especially during an overnight choir retreat in March, to do their best.

The Palm Sunday evening program includes many pieces by contemporary composers including David Miller, Robert Lief and Natalie Sleeth. Also featured is the premier of a new composition by Director of Music Joel Krott titled “Only, Always, Ever Is.” This is a setting of a poem by Shannon King, a member of the Chapel Choir.

The event is open to the public and no tickets are needed. A free will offering will be received, and child care is provided.

First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown is located at 101 Bridgeboro Road in Moorestown and is handicapped accessible. For more information contact Music Director Joel Krott at (856) 235–1688, Ext. 109 or [email protected].
