Obituary: Charles A. Breingan

Breingan’s memorial service will take place on Monday, Feb. 12 at the Red Dragon Canoe Club

Charles A. Breingan of Burlington Twp. passed away into God’s loving and eternal care on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at his home. He was 99 years old.

Born and raised in New York City, he settled in Burlington after WW II.
Mr. Breingan retired in 1989 as a life insurance agent with the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company after 40-plus years of service . He was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran and served as a P -51 Mustang pilot in the Flying Tigers with the 14 th AirForce during WWII. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and was a member of the Red Dragon Canoe Club of Beverly since 1953.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mildred (Burkett) Breingan , a son Charles R. Breingan and a grandson Charles R Breingan Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on
Feb. 12 at the Red Dragon Canoe Club, 221 Edgewater Ave., Beverly NJ. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to The Red Dragon Canoe Club at the address listed above.
