The entire community is invited to check out the JCC’s facilities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Cherry Hill community is invited to attend the Katz JCC’s annual winter open house on Sunday, Jan. 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees will enjoy facility tours, are welcome to join in on a group fitness class, take part in activities for children and meet JCC department representatives.
The open house will take place at the JCC’s facility, which houses a NAEYC accredited and award-winning early childhood center, a state of the art fitness complex with indoor pools, two full size basketball gyms, a fitness center with cardio machines and weight training equipment, small group training studio, yoga, spin and Pilates studios. Each week, members can take advantage of more than 100 free group wellness classes including aqua jam, yoga, Pilates, Bodypump, Tabata Bootcamp, Spin, HIGH Fitness and Ugi Fit. The Richard M. Klein Center for Wellness offers a variety of programs and events with a focus on the mind, body and spirit including group wellness classes, weight loss programs, cancer recovery training, lectures, seminars and nutrition counseling, and the JFit Small Group Training Studio offers small group training classes and personal training. Basketball leagues and sports enrichment classes are offered for children, teens and adults throughout the year and swim lessons are offered for children as young as 3 months old.
The Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center at the Katz JCC’s state licensed and NAEYC accredited program offers full day infant and toddler care for children as of 6 weeks old, flexible toddler programs for 2- and 3-year-olds, full and half day pre-school, transitional kindergarten and full day certified kindergarten. A new STEAM lab, scheduled to open in January, will further support early childhood’s integration of STEAM to the curriculum, which provides children opportunities to learn creatively through problem solving and teamwork.
The JCC is also home to two award-winning summer day camps; Early Childhood Camps at the Katz JCC for ages 2 to 5, and the JCC Camps at Medford for ages 3 to 14, and an award-winning after school program- Just4Kids and JCrew, for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade.
The JCC offers diverse programming and services for the entire community including adult education in our Saltzman Foundation Life Long Learning Institute, cultural experiences such as the Cherry Hill Volvo Cars Jewish Film Festival and adult social clubs for those looking to foster new friendships.
Those who register at the JCC Open House on Jan. 7 will receive their first month of membership for only $20.18, take advantage of a waived registration fee, $20 JCC Bucks to use towards any JCC programs and services, three free months of towel service (if the spa membership upgrade is chosen) and $20.18 off any Wellness Center class or program.
