Board looking to build better confidence with the community in 2018

Board of Education President Sandra Alberti said, looking ahead to 2018, the board’s goal is to forge a better connection with the community. She said in the new year, the board is hoping to increase the community’s confidence in the decisions it is making. The board is taking a look at its communication policies and bylaws. Alberti said the board wants to be clearer about why it is making decisions and show evidence supporting them. She said the board doesn’t share much of the process, and members are discussing ways to disseminate information to the public.

On Wednesday, Dec. 27. Chef Katie Sklarow watched carefully and provided guidance when needed as three young chefs in training sliced and diced to prepare a vegetarian dish as part of a vegetarian cooking workshop at the Moorestown recreation center.

Moorestown resident inspires smiles at Cinnaminson House

For the last 16 years, Dr. Sara Fonseca and family have helped the Cinnaminson House with a large gift for the house, and individual $100 gift cards to all 11 residents of the house. This year, the Cinnaminson House received a new refrigerator in addition to the 11 gift cards.Fonseca, who is an endodontist in Moorestown, became aware of the Cinnaminson House when she was volunteering and performing root canals therapy for a resident of the house, and a friendship was found. For the first 10 years on Christmas morning before opening gifts at her residence in Moorestown, Fonseca and her family went to visit the Cinnaminson House with fresh baked goods and gifts.
