Cherry Hill Board of Education adopts Cherry Hill 2020 plan

The final item of business the Cherry Hill Board of Education attended to in the 2017 calendar year was the adoption of the Cherry Hill 2020: A Clear Vision for the Future plan. The plan is an overall look at the district’s intent to pursue a bond referendum on Oct. 2, 2018. The plan includes numerous elements, including the district revised mission statement and statement of beliefs, the reasons for pursuing a bond referendum, a list of potential projects and the timeline for 2018.

Athlete of the Month: RJ Silver-Cohen starts season fast for Cherry Hill West wrestling

Cherry Hill High School West junior RJ Silver-Cohen had a tough first two seasons in his high school wrestling career. Silver-Cohen missed a significant amount of his freshman and sophomore seasons due to injury. The missed time has motivated Silver-Cohen to perform at the top of his game this season. He is off to a good start, winning his first four matches and placing first at the Garden State Cup at Franklin High School.

Cherry Hill doctor, son sentenced to prison for conspiring to defraud Medicare

A Cherry Hill doctor and his chiropractor son were sentenced to prison on Monday for conspiring to defraud Medicare by using unqualified people to give physical therapy to Medicare recipients. Dr. Robert Claude McGrath his son Robert Christopher McGrath, 48, both of Cherry Hill, were sentenced to 30 and 12 months in prison, respectively. In addition both were sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered them to pay restitution of $890,000.

Cherry Hill Police: No tolerance for unruly juvenile behavior at Cherry Hill Mall on Dec. 26

The Cherry Hill Police Department and Cherry Hill Mall management have asked parents to not drop off their children unsupervised at the mall on Tuesday, Dec. 26. Police say malls nationwide have seen an increase in the number of unattended juveniles that are dropped off at retail shopping centers creating disturbances and engaging in criminal behavior on Dec. 26 in recent years. The police department and mall security will have a no tolerance policy this Tuesday for unruly behavior.
