Medford Police Arrest North Carolina Man with Multiple Warrants

North Carolina resident, Keith C. Boyd, was pulled over and arrested on Dec. 9th and found to have multiple warrants and illegal ammunition

On December 9, 2017 at 9:10 a.m., Medford Police were dispatched to Route 70, in the area of the Evesham Township line, for a motor vehicle accident with an involved vehicle that struck a tree. During the investigation, it was discovered that the driver, Keith C. Boyd, 28 Y/O, of Hill Ave, Wilkesboro NC had multiple outstanding Criminal and Traffic warrants for his arrest in New Jersey. Boyd was placed under arrest for the above warrants. A search incident to arrest revealed that Boyd had a loaded 38 caliber revolver in his possession with five hollow point bullets inside the revolver. Additional hollow point ammunition for the revolver was also located in Boyd’s backpack with the revolver. Boyd was transported to Medford Police headquarters where he was processed and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun and unlawful possession of hollow point bullets. Additionally, Boyd was issued a traffic summons for unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle, failure to produce a driver’s license, driving while suspended, unlicensed driver, fictitious license plates, and failure to maintain lane. During processing, Boyd complained of right arm and chest pain and was transported via ambulance to Virtua Hospital in Marlton for evaluation. Upon being released several hours later from the hospital, Boyd was lodged in Burlington County Jail in default of bail to await a future Superior Court appearance. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Medford Township Police Department.
