Letter to the editor: New Jersey needs ‘extreme vetting’

Writer: ‘Include vetting for sharia supremacies’

We don’t need Phil Murphy as New Jersey’s next governor with his stated desire to make this state a sanctuary state. Does he need evidence?

What we do need is extreme vetting for sharia supremacies, a totalitarian political ideology with a faux religious front.

The New York terrorist is a prime example for getting rid of the lottery system, Schumer’s Diversity Visa bill — this is how we get “sleepers” in this country.

What guilt are we trying to assuage? For more than 15 years we admitted more than two million people, mostly from Muslim countries via the Diversity Visa.

That doesn’t include those following via chain migration.

Sayfullo Saipovis is a sharia supremacist and Islamic State supporter. Sharia supremacist is a strategy for infiltrating and destroying the West, the objective of all jihadism, by supplanting Western culture and law with sharia’s legal and societal system.

The militants have a support system: ideological pockets that foster incitement, recruitment, training, fund-raising and moral support.

The threat is self-created: an immigration policy that promotes assimilation-resistant pockets embedded with sharia supremacies.

The terrorist was from Paterson, New Jersey, considered the hub of this jihadi act.

New Jersey has municipalities appearing on the CIS. Asbury Park, Camden, East Orange, Jersey City, Linden, New Brunswick, Newark, North Bergen, Plainfield, Trenton and Union City, including Union, Middlesex and Ocean counties are mentioned by some as sanctuary jurisdictions. Even Princeton signed on as a “Welcoming America” city; that’s a network of more than 100 municipalities across the country that “provides the roadmap and support (communities) need to become more inclusive toward immigrants and all residents.” Paterson was considered the hub of this jihadi act.

New Jersey is heavily Democratic and diverse with a large immigrant population but I agree with Trump’s instincts — extreme vetting — but include vetting for sharia supremacies.
