On Sept. 22, the Evesham Police Department responded to the Chipotle Mexican Grill, 882 N. Route 73, for a male who allegedly stole $100 during a diversion scam.

Police say an investigation determined that the male allegedly utilized a diversion style scam to distract and confuse the cashier during a transaction.

When the opportunity presented itself, police say the male removed a $100 bill from the cashier’s hand and then proceeded to scam the cashier into giving him change for a $100 bill.

According to police, the male is suspected of committing the same scam in a North Jersey Chipotle.
