Kiwanis featuring array of speakers in fall months

All are welcome to lunch with the Kiwanis Club of the Haddons this October and November.

The public is invited to lunch with the Kiwanis Club of the Haddons in October and November to munch and dialog with special guest speakers.

David Bailey, Jr, CEO of Ranch Hope, will visit on Friday, Oct. 13. Ranch Hope, located in Alloway, Salem County, has been a therapeutic community serving children since 1964. The “ranch” provides short-term shelter and long term residential treatment homes for children ages 13 to 17 with behavioral healthcare and medically fragile programming. The Ranch Hope campus includes a private special education school, Alternative Virtual School, and an outdoor adventure-based program at Camp Edge.

John Stefankiewicz, President of the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Fresh Air Home, (CFAH), will visit on Friday, Oct. 27. Founded in 1896, the CFAH provides a no-cost, enriching summer experience in North Wildwood, in a safe, positive environment for children from Philadelphia and Camden who may be living with family or community adversities. Attendees can come learn about the history of CFAH and the current efforts to restore this wonderful facility.

Matt Goldberg, author, speaker and trainer from Cherry Hill, will visit on Friday, Nov. 3. Goldberg will explore the life lessons learned everyday from his new book “Hot Ice Cream: Inspiring Life Lessons from Our Children.” Attendees are invited to share your own nothing/everything moments with him. Books will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds supporting Kiwanis’ youth programs.

The Kiwanis Club meets Fridays from 12:15 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Tavistock Country Club located at 100 Tavistock Lane in Haddonfield. A three-course lunch is available for $13. Please RSVP to club secretary Milton Smith at (856)559–2009 or [email protected].
