Local photographers’ work featured at Hansen Warner Gallery exhibition

The event features the work of Scott Kern, Larry A. Lyons, Joseph Perno and Patricia S. Worley.

“Four by Four” is currently exhibited at the Ameriprise Financial, Hansen Warner Gallery located at 6 South Main Street in Medford. The exhibition runs from Sept. 17 through Nov. 1st. Meet the Artists reception will be held on Friday, Sept. 29 from 6–9 pm. All of the artists are local to South Jersey.

The following photographers’ work will be exhibited:

Scott Kern — Travel Writer/Photographer/Explorer

Kern explains “As a photographer, I am part storyteller and part historian. My job is to create a story that transcends time conveying the emotion embodied within the image at a particular point in time.” For this project, Kern has chosen the common images of everyday life including bridges, trees, cars and the beach to take the viewer into his world.

Larry A. Lyons — EnviroQuest, LLC

Lyons focuses on capturing the beauty of nature and the astonishing diversity of living organisms. His photography extends from majestic landscapes, to animal behavior, to macro-photography, to human intervention. Lyons has chosen to display the indigenous people of the Amazon, Yellowstone National Park as seen in the winter, Floridian birds and African landscapes/wildlife.

Joseph Perno — Partner, S&J Photography

Perno’s images encompass some of his favorite subjects to photograph including the Jersey Shore, his self-described Zen place. “He can sit and watch the sun rise and set daily.” He also included silhouettes and Americana images. Perno has captured remnants of towns and places that time has forgotten explaining, “They all tell a story and I’m listening.”

Patricia S. Worley — President, Twilight Blue Photography, LLC

Worley’s vision is simple: “Capture the ordinary and make it extraordinary.” An award winning nature and travel photographer, curator and photography instructor, Worley has chosen the following subject matter for this project; Celestial solar system including the Milky Way, Yellowstone National Park in the wintertime, wood ducks and the magnificient lionesses of the African plains.
