Get Ready for the Palmyra Halloween Experience with several events on tap this October!
With the month of September flying by, that means Halloween is right around the corner! In Palmyra this October, there are several events scheduled with something available for every age group.
Here’s a closer look at all of Palmyra’s upcoming Halloween activities:
House Decorating Contest: Let’s get those houses Halloween ready! This is fun for the whole town. Registration ends on Oct. 25 and judging will take place on the evenings of Oct. 27–28. Winners will be announced after the Halloween parade at Legion Field on Oct. 30. To register, please send your name, address, and email to [email protected].
Masquerade Ball: The Halloween Parade Committee is working on a super fun fundraiser, an adult social in the form of a Masquerade Ball! Complete with food, beer, and fun cocktail options. Costumers are encouraged and we will have prizes for the best individual costume and best group costume. Save the day, Saturday, Oct. 14 and keep an eye out for information. Tickets are $20–25 at the door.
Sweatshirt Sale: Don’t forget to show your support with a Palmyra Halloween Parade sweatshirt! Cost is $24 (additional $2 for xxl) for a black, white, or grey hoodie with an orange logo on the front, and a web address on the back. Resident Donations are allowed: Feel free to send donations to Palmyra Halloween Parade P.O. Box 711 Palmyra, N.J. Checks should be payable to Palmyra Halloween Parade. You can donate on our website as well, on the bottom of our sponsor page there is a patron donate button. Keep an eye out for our donation boxes in our local businesses as well.
Legion Field End of Parade Celebration: Don’t forget to walk over to Legion Field for some after the parade fun as well, as well as awards for the evening! The celebration will take place on Oct. 30, following the parade.
One Last Thing: We are looking for pirates, princesses, dracula’s, witches, frankenstein’s, smurfs, luke skywalker’s sporting lightsabers to walk in our parade! How about a float, if you think you’re creative enough to make a fun scary Halloween float? The bigger the better, and get your neighbors involved! We have cash prizes for floats!
Online registration for parade participation will open on Sept. 16! Also, a huge thank you to our local businesses for their support as without them the parade would not go on!
