The five candidates seeking election to the Board of Education will be introduced
The Washington Township PTO Presidents Council will sponsor a Candidates Forum on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Eileen Abbott Central Administration Building, located at 206 East Holly Avenue, Sewell, for the five candidates seeking election to three open seats on the Washington Township Board of Education.
Barbara Kutscher, treasurer of the Moorestown Area League of Women Voters and a LWVNJ-trained moderator with more than 26 years of experience, will serve as moderator for this event.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan, political organization whose purpose is to encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in government.
Candidates will field questions posed by interested Washington Township residents in attendance at the forum. The program will be taped in its entirety and aired on WT-TV Channel 9/36 in the weeks preceding the Nov. 7 school board election.
The five candidates who are seeking three available seats for three-year terms on the Board of Education include: Raymond Dinovi, Jr., Julie Yankanich (incumbent), Thomas Gleason, Ginny Murphy (incumbent) and Dominick Ruggiero.
