Cozies 4 Chemo makes and distributes no-sew fleece blankets to cancer patients going through chemotherapy, free of charge.
On Sunday, Oct. 1, Cozies 4 Chemo will be holding its Annual 5K Fun Run/ One Mile Walk at Laurel Acres park.
This is the charity’s largest fundraiser of the year and allows the group to continue make and distribute no-sew fleece blankets to cancer patients going through chemotherapy, free of charge.
This is the group’s 5th annual event, hosting more than 500 people who will come out to support the cause.
The event will start at 8:50 a.m. with opening remarks from the group’s founder.
The 5K start time is 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.

Lenape senior Meghan Vizzard started Cozies 4 Chemo in 2012. Since that time, the group has donated more than 6,300 blankets to patients across the United States, Canada and abroad.
All of the blankets are provided and shipped free of charge.
