Freeholder Linda Hughes Announces “Walk For Life: A Journey to Heal” Event September 10

The walk will be held on Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Burlington County Human Services Facility, 795 Woodlane Road in Westampton.

Burlington County Freeholder Linda Hughes announced recently that CONTACT of Burlington County and the Burlington County Department of Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health and Traumatic Loss Coalition, are hosting the first annual suicide awareness and prevention walk.

The walk will be held on Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Burlington County Human Services Facility, 795 Woodlane Road in Westampton. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the walk will kick-off at 10 a.m.

“This inaugural event is an important step in reaching out to everyone in our Burlington County community with support, education and resources. We walk together to make a difference, to let people know that help is available,” said Freeholder Linda Hughes. “This event is also an opportunity for those who face or have faced mental health struggles to support one another and feel the support from our community.”

“This walk will be a great opportunity for all involved to celebrate life, and to remember and pay tribute to those we have lost,” continued Hughes.
