The Evesham Police Department is accepting applications for the fall 2017 session of the Citizens Police Academy. Session No. 9 will start on Tuesday, Sept. 26 and run until Nov. 14.
Classes will be held at the Evesham Township Municipal Complex each Tuesday night, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. for eight weeks.
According to police, the academy provides an opportunity to get to know the members of the police department and experience a behind the scenes look at what Evesham Police describe as one of the most professional law enforcement agencies in the state.
Some of the topics covered will be traffic/DWI enforcement, criminal investigation, canine deployment and use of force. The department will also be taking a trip to the 911 call center for a tour and utilization of the Firearms Training Simulator.
Applications can be picked up at the municipal complex or downloaded from the police department website at www.eveshampd.org.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age and either be a resident of Evesham Township or a business owner in Evesham Township.
Completed applications and any questions regarding this program can be directed to Lt. Ron Ritter at [email protected] or Ofc. Jessica Lettieri at [email protected].
