The run will take place on Oct. 21.
The Medford Milers, a local running club started in 1999, is hosting its first official race on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Medford, NJ. The run/walk will be a competitive 5k race (3.1 miles) with proceeds benefiting the Medford Vincentown Rotary Halloween Parade which takes place in downtown Medford the following weekend.
The race event starts and finishes at Freedom Park in Medford near the Medford Public Safety Building on Union Street. Participants will enjoy a flat, fast course. The course runs through the streets of historic Medford and will have water stops and professionally timed mile markers. There will be post-race refreshments, high quality tech shirts, finisher medals, and music provided by local DJ, Marsdale Productions. Costumes are optional (in honor of the upcoming parade) with awards for best male and female costumes, as well as fastest overall male, fastest overall female and fastest males and females in many different age categories.
