Burlington County announces vouchers still available for State Senior Farmer’s Market Program

The program provides low income seniors with $25 in voucher form to purchase New Jersey farmers locally grown produce.

Burlington County Freeholder Linda Hughes is reminding residents that vouchers for the New Jersey Senior Farmer’s Market Program are still available.

The program is a joint effort between the USDA and the NJ Department of Agriculture that provides low income seniors with $25 in voucher form to purchase New Jersey farmers locally grown produce.

“The Burlington County Office on Aging still has vouchers available to eligible seniors,” Hughes said. “The vouchers, which can be redeemed until Nov. 30, provide a nutritional benefit to seniors in order to enhance their diets and to bring awareness and an opportunity to expand the sales of locally grown produce.”

Hughes said for senior citizens that are looking to receive a voucher, there are a few guidelines, including state regulations requiring documentation such as proof of Burlington County residency, age, identity, income, etc.

· Guidelines and needed documentation are as follows:
· Burlington County Resident (age 60 and up)
· Gross Income Limits (all income)
· Single Household $22,311 annual income or less
· Married Household $30,044 annual income or less
· Proof of Income
· Current Income Tax Return
· W-2 Form
· Current Pay Stub
· Social Security Benefit Statement
· Automatic Income Eligibility: Food Stamps/SNAP Card, or Medicaid Card
