The drive will run through Aug. 16, with collection boxes in county buildings and at some branches of the Burlington County Library System.
Burlington County Freeholder Linda Hughes has announced that Burlington County will be collecting school supplies for Burlington County children in need.
“The cost of school supplies can be hard on some families,” Hughes said. “We are asking our communities to come together and extend their generosity by ensuring that all students in our community return to school with necessary supplies to start the new school year.”
The county will be partnering with the Burlington County Library System, the Tabernacle Baptist Church and other local organizations to collect and distribute items such as backpacks, three-ring binders, notebooks, writing utensils and much more.
“When our residents donate school supplies they are providing students with the opportunity to continue their education,” Hughes said. “This back to school drive is a great way to lighten the burden on local families in need and gives students the tools to be successful in school.”
The donation drive will run through Wednesday, Aug. 16, with collection boxes in county buildings at the Burlington County Library Main Branch in Westampton, the Cinnaminson Library and the Evesham Library.
