In his letter, Weidenbacher congratulates Haddonfield’s newest acting police lieutenant.
As a resident, I was reassured to read about lieutenant Stephen Camiscioli’s promotion. One more show of lovely Haddonfield’s ability to attract and retain the terrific police force we all enjoy every day.
For me, reading about the promotion was personally gratifying because a number of years ago I got an extraordinarily direct peek into then-detective Camiscioli’s frontline role in meting out justice — forcefully, intelligently and all to good end.
Actually, the particular episode, although extreme and dramatic (for me), was not less meaningful than several related episodes I witnessed (uncomfortably) involving other equally impressive officers in action. I salute them all.
Justice in the making: what more can one ask of a police force when, after the turmoil, all’s well that ends well?
