Evesham Police say work of local and state agencies helps to identify alleged ‘smash and grab’ crew

Police say suspects allegedly conducted more than four dozen smash and grab jobs throughout the state, including six in Evesham.

The following report is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On June 14 at 2 a.m., the Evesham Police Department investigated six burglaries involving suspects smashing out front glass doors of businesses to gain entry.

Police say targets include Ragazzi Restaurant, Lucky 7 Deli, Gaetano’s, Dominos Pizza, China I Restaurant and EV Nail Salon.

Once inside, police say the suspects ransacked the businesses, stealing cash from the registers.

Through a collaborative effort between local and state law enforcement agencies, Evesham Police say two male suspects have been identified and charged for the six burglaries and thefts in Evesham Township.

Police say the subjects were allegedly responsible for more than four dozen smash and grab jobs throughout the state.

Arrested:

A male, age 31, of Browns Mills, was charged with six counts of third-degree burglary, four counts of third-degree theft and four counts of criminal mischief. He is currently lodged in the Monmouth County Jail.

A male, age 19, of Wrightstown, was charged with six counts of third-degree burglary, four counts of third-degree theft and four counts of criminal mischief. He is currently at large and his whereabouts are unknown.
