Mt. Laurel firefighter sustains minor injury while responding to fire at multi-family dwelling

The department reminds residents to check their smoke alarms to ensure that they are operating properly.

The Mt. Laurel Fire Department respond to a reported multi-family dwelling fire on July 5 on the 2100 block of Yarmouth Lane in the late afternoon.

On arrival, department officials say fire fighters found fire through the roof.

According to the department, companies on arrival performed an aggressive attack to control the fire, and during operations, a firefighter sustained a minor injury and was transported to the hospital.

The firefighter was later released and was reported as fine, with the department thanking residents for the large number of inquiries on the fire fighter’s condition.

With the above incident in mind, the department asks residents to check their smoke alarms to ensure that they are operating properly.
