Camden County Freeholders sponsor free senior citizen legal workshops in July

Workshops fill quickly and registration is required

The Camden County Board of Freeholders, the Department of Health and Human Services — Division of Senior & Disabled Services and the Surrogate’s Office announce free legal workshops for senior and disabled residents of Camden County. Those attending this workshop receive, at no cost, a Last Will and Testament, an Advance Directive for Health Care (Living Will) and Power of Attorney (POA).

Participants are required to be Camden County residents age 60 and older. Disabled citizens must be age 18 and older and residents of Camden County. Workshops are limited to 35 participants per session and pre-registration is required. Due to a high demand, it is suggested to call for an appointment as soon as possible. The workshops fill up very quickly.

The workshops are held every Monday of the month. If that Monday is an official holiday, the workshop will be held on Tuesday. There are three workshops beginning at 2 p.m. and one evening workshop at 6 p.m.

Please note that the clinic held at night (6 p.m.) does not offer a POA, only a will and living will.

July dates are as follows: Monday, July 10, 2 p.m. (pick up Aug. 9 and 10); Monda, July 17, 2 p.m. (pick up Aug. 16 and 17); Monday, July 24, 2 p.m. (pick up Aug. 23 and 24); and Monday, July 31, 6 p.m. (pick up Aug. 30 and 31). All workshops are held at the Camden County Store at the Voorhees Town Center.

To register please call (856) 566–2920.
