Students celebrated Wedgwood Elementary School’s record-setting math-solving number
Wedgwood Elementary School students in grades one through five correctly solved 1,000,000 math problems recently as part of the First in Math online program.
First In Math is an educational website to help children master fundamental and advanced mathematics skills. The First In Math program activities employ deep practice techniques to rapidly increase computation, problem solving, critical thinking and essential math basics presented in a game format. The skills developed are key to success in higher mathematics.
First in Math content ranges from addition to complex algebra. The Wedgwood School Top Ten First in Math problem solvers were: Marko Xoxo, fourth grade; James Noonan, fourth grade; Gianna Miller, second grade; Kirtan Patel, fourth grade; Luke McCrae, fourth grade; Luke Linden, fifth grade; Nick Watson, fourth grade; Jakerius Riley, fourth grade; Jerrymee Gamduton, third grade; and Alyssa Clark, third grade.
