Hluchan is one of the two partners at Hyland Levin LLP that has been recognized in “Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers of Business for 2017” for Environment— New Jersey and Real Estate — New Jersey. Chambers & Partners, based in London, compiles internationally recognized guides to the legal profession. Rankings are based on extensive research and interviews with clients and competitors in the legal field.
Richard M. Hluchan, was named in “Band 1 for Environment — New Jersey” and “Band 2 for Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use.” Hluchan has experience in land use and environmental law including zoning and regulatory matters as well as expertise in CAFRA permitting, waterfront development and riparian matters. He also represents clients in land use and environmental litigation including regulatory takings matters.
Hluchan’s partner Mark D. Shapiro was named in “Band 3 for Real estate — New Jersey.” Shapiro’s real estate practice focuses on development, leasing and loan transactions. He spends a considerable amount of his time representing multi-family apartment building owners in acquisitions and financings as well as retail and office landlords in leasing matters. In addition, he represents property owners in tax appeal matters.
