More lane closures in effect as Route 70 construction continues

A number of lane closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation is continuing its Route 70 improvement project this week in multiple locations in Cherry Hill Township.

A number of lane closures will be in effect on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The lane closures include:

· Two lanes closed on Route 70 eastbound between Cornell Avenue and Haddonfield Road

· The right lane closed on Route 70 westbound between Haddonfield Road and McClellan Avenue in Pennsauken

· Right turns only will be permitted onto Route 70 coming from Haddonfield Road and Grove Street. Cars will not be permitted to make left turns or go straight.

· The left lane will be closed on Route 70 eastbound between Curtis Avenue and Edison Avenue.

· The eastbound direction of Route 70 between Sawmill Road and Covered Bridge Road will have the right lane and shoulder closed.

Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through any of the work zones.
