Police say suspects were arrested and the passenger was found to be in possession of a bundle of heroin and a hypodermic needle.
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
According to Evesham Police, on April 30, at 8:20 p.m., an Evesham Police Officer was flagged down on Greentree Road and was advised by a passing motorist of an aggressive driver.
Police say the officer located a vehicle matching the description, and when he attempted to stop the vehicle traveling on Route 73, the driver refused to stop. According to police, the driver and passenger subsequently exited the vehicle and fled on foot into the wooded area near the Woodhollow Development.
Police say responding officers located the abandoned vehicle and established a perimeter while awaiting the arrival of ETPD K-9 Spike. Once on location, the K-9 tracked the suspect’s scent from the vehicle into the wooded area where he found both suspects hiding in bushes.
Police say both suspects were arrested without incident and the passenger was found to be in possession of a bundle of heroin and a hypodermic needle.
Arrested:
A male, age 47, of Cherry Hill, was charged with second-degree eluding. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
A female, age 39, of Tabernacle, was charged with third-degree possession of heroin and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a hypodermic needle and obstruction. She was release on her own recognizance.
