Alice Paul Institute invites public to tour Paulsdale for ‘Second Saturday Tour’ on May 13

Visitors can enjoy an afternoon tour of historic Paulsdale, birthplace and childhood home of suffragist Alice Paul.

Visitors are invited to tour historic Paulsdale, birthplace and childhood home of suffragist Alice Paul, on May 13 from noon to 2 p.m. for the Alice Paul Institute’s next “Second Saturday Tour.”

Those who take the tour will begin with a 15-minute DVD presentation, “The Life of Alice Stokes Paul, 1885–1977.”

Guests then walk around the porch to learn about the farm that once surrounded Paulsdale.

Inside the house, visitors can learn about the Paul family’s daily life in the house, the restoration of the site, and its present-day use at a leadership institute for women and girls.

No appointment is necessary for visitors and no registration is required, but large groups are encouraged to call ahead.

Those looking to take the tour can do so for $5 per person.
