World War II veteran and Holocaust survivor Ernest Kaufman will share his story in the County Library Auditorium on Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m.
Ernest Kaufman, a World War II veteran, Holocaust survivor, and author, will share his life story with the community on Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. in the County Library auditorium in Westampton.
Kaufman’s appearance is the second installment in the library’s new Community Stories program, a series of personal tales and life journeys from residents of Burlington County. Registration is requested.
Kaufman, 95, has written an autobiography of his a life, “From Fright to Fight to Farm: A Journey of Survival,” and will share his observations and wisdom with the audience. Signed copies of the author’s book also will be available for purchase.
A longtime Burlington County resident, Kaufman is a speaker with the Armed Forces Heritage Museum, which shares the military history of New Jersey and the surrounding regions in order to preserve, honor and educate. His scheduled library appearance was also planned to highlight the internationally recognized Holocaust Remembrance Day on April 24.
