Evesham Library to host talk on women’s rights and gender disparities on April 20

The event, entitled ‘Sex, Gender, and Sexuality: Are Women Human?’ will discuss the consequences of policies built on gender differences.

On April 20, at 7 p.m., the Evesham Library will host a talk entitled “Sex, Gender, and Sexuality: Are Women Human?”

The event will be presented by Kiki Jamieson, president for The Fund for New Jersey, which seeks to advance the quality of public policy decision-making on significant issues in the state.

This talk will explore the question of whether women’s rights are human rights.

Using examples from history, literature, and contemporary politics, those at the event will discuss gender differences, gender disparities and the consequences of policies built on those understandings.

This program is funded by the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.

This event is for adults, and those interested in attending must register in advance.
