A fire broke out at 1104 Kresson Road around 2 p.m. this afternoon. Police closed the road to allow emergency personnel to respond. The road re-opened just before 5 p.m.
Kresson Road is now open after being closed for nearly three hours on Thursday afternoon as Cherry Hill Fire Department and other emergency units responded to a house fire.

The fire broke out on Thursday afternoon around 2 p.m. A dwelling fire was reported at 1104 Kresson Road. Some scanner reports say the home was struck by lightning, igniting a fire in the basement. Cherry Hill Police closed Kresson Road between Heartwood Drive and Springdale Road to allow units to respond.
The Cherry Hill Fire Department does not yet have details on the fire.
