Calling all artists: Markeim Arts Center exhibit open for entries

Markeim invites artists to submit their work for their “Power of Flower” Exhibition.

The Markeim Arts Center in Haddonfield invites artists to submit their take on flora and fauna through the medium of their choosing for their ninth annual “Power of the Flower” exhibition. The juried exhibition will open on Friday, May 12 at 7 p.m., and the pieces will be displayed in the center’s main gallery until Friday, June 2.

Artists can interpret the theme in a variety of mediums including paintings, photography, textiles and sculpture. This year, professional artist and Haddonfield resident Carol Gooberman will serve as the show’s juror.

Entrance fees are $25 for an Markeim Artist Member and $30 for non-members to submit one to three pieces. Each additional piece submitted is $5. For more information or to submit a piece, visit http://www.markeimartscenter.org/calendar/power-of-the-flower-2017/
