Camden County officials say all county roads in Cherry Hill have been cleared and are open to traffic. The Camden County Dispatch Center handled more than 1,500 calls for service on Tuesday. Most of the calls were due to either downed trees or wires.

“We have received multiple reports of downed trees and over 7,600 total power outages due to the storm. Please report any outages you experience to your utility company,” said Camden County Freeholder Jonathan Young, liaison to the Camden County Office of Emergency Management. “We strongly recommend that everyone to stay off of the roads. Even though the storm has cleared out of our area, the roads remain treacherous due to the frozen surfaces.”

Officials are warning residents that there is a threat of icy roadways this evening as leftover snow, slush and water could freeze in the evening. County crews are continuing to apply product to the roadways to stave off overnight ice that could potentially form from the below freezing temperatures.

Some residents in Cherry Hill are still in the dark this afternoon as PSE&G continues to report power outages in the township. As of 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, 1,573 Cherry Hill customers are without power. At the height of the storm late Tuesday morning, there were more than 2,500 customers without power in the township.

The Cherry Hill Police Department is also keeping residents updated on roads closed in the township on its social media accounts. Some township roads remain closed at this hour.
