Palmyra Players to take a stroll through the 1920s with ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr.’

Next weekend, months of hard work put in by the Palmyra Players Theater Club at Palmyra High School will culminate with its performance of “Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr.”

Code Blue cold weather emergency effective this weekend

Due to dropping temperatures, Burlington County Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio declared a Code Blue Cold Weather Emergency effective starting Friday, March 3 at 6 p.m. through Monday, March 6 at 7 a.m. Officials will then review and assess upcoming weather forecasts.

Palmyra Community Center accepting food pantry donations

Bread of Life Food Pantry Volunteer Coordinator Julie Scheffler and CEO Dale Neas collect donations at the pantry in Palmyra. Donations are accepted Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Palmyra Community Center is accepting donations to the Bread of Life Food Pantry Monday — Friday from 8:30 a.m. — 4:30 p.m. The basket is located right inside the main doors. The center is also collecting damaged flags for proper disposal.

Burlington County Youth Police Academy to begin March 11

Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield announced classes will begin for her department’s Youth Police Academy on Saturday, March 11. The first session of the program will take place over the course of three consecutive Saturdays, ending on March 25 with a graduation ceremony.
