UFOs reportedly overhead in South Jersey

Late last month, a Cinnaminson resident reported seeing an unidentified flying object, better known as a “UFO,” near their home on Forklanding Road. This is the most recent sighting in South Jersey and reportedly happened at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Jan 22.

Cinnaminson residents approve fire budget

Cinnaminson voters approved the Cinnaminson Fire Department’s 2017 budget on Feb. 18, according to unofficial election results. The department reports that 215 residents voted to approve the budget, while 105 residents voted against it. Incumbent fire commissioner Harry Smith III was re-elected for another term with 262 votes.

Help get Cinnaminson parks ready for spring: annual park clean up date set

Cinnaminson township announced via Facebook that the annual park clean up day is set for Saturday, April 1. The event takes place in all parks in Cinnaminson and brings residents, businesses and community groups together for a common cause — to get Cinnaminson’s parks ready for spring and summer.

Gun and drug arrest made in Cinnaminson

On Feb. 17 at 11:26 p.m., officer Kyle Hess was on patrol in the area of Route 130 North and New Albany Road when he observed a motor vehicle offense and stopped the vehicle. Hess approached the vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded handgun, controlled dangerous substances and drug paraphernalia.

Eleven students from Cinnaminson High School to earn Seal of Biliteracy

Cinnaminson Township Public Schools will award 11 high school students with the Seal of Biliteracy, Director of Curriculum and Instruction Stephen Cappello announced at the February Board of Education meeting. The Seal of Biliteracy is awarded to students who study and attain proficiency in two or more languages by the time they graduate high school.
