Burlington Township is hiring an Information Technology Management Information Systems Professional.
The successful applicant should have a strong ability and willingness to learn various Windows-based software applications and assist in the planning, directing, managing and effective utilization of information technology resources within Burlington Township.
The candidate will also be responsible for advising and assisting in various information technology operational areas such as IT strategic planning and policy formulation, application development, database management, network infrastructure, systems management, support and telecommunications.
The applicant will also ensure that the applications development and maintenance operations, telecommunications, computer and network systems are managed cost-effectively and meeting the needs of end users, the public and other related work as required.
Education preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
•CompTIA Cerifications
Experience/qualifications:
•Installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
•Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone
•Excellent listening and communication skills combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients and personnel to help set up systems and resolve issues
•Conduct daily network backup operations
•Must pass criminal background check
•3+ years of working experience in providing help desk support
•3+ years of working experience in networks and systems maintenance
•Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations
•Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
•Experience with Microsoft Office Applications 2010/2013/Office 365
•Experience with Microsoft Server 2003/2008/2012
•Must be a resident of the state of New Jersey
•Burlington Township residency preferred but not required
