Incumbents Robert Campagna and William McCargo were also re-elected to the Board of Fire Commissioners.
Cherry Hill votes approved Cherry Hill Fire District №13’s budget, according to unofficial results from the fire district’s election on Saturday, Feb. 18.
According to the Cherry Hill Fire Department, about 65.8 percent of participating voters chose to approve the 2017 proposed budget. This year’s budget included no tax increase for Cherry Hill residents for the sixth consecutive year.
In the Board of Fire Commissioners portion of the election, incumbents Robert Campagna and William McCargo both won re-election. Campagna earned 1,159 votes, while McCargo earned 787 votes, 77 more than first runner-up, William Trotman.
There was an increase in the number of voters in this year’s election. A total of 2,332 votes were cast to either approve or reject the budget. This is an increase from 2016, where only 2,031 total votes were cast.
Saturday’s unofficial totals do not count provisional ballots.
