Medford Township Police Department: Weekly Police Reports

The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.

On Feb. 8, at 9:20 a.m., Medford Township Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of 7–11 on Tomlinson Mill Road on a 2003 GMC pickup for a motor vehicle violation. While speaking with the driver of the motor vehicle, the odor of raw marijuana was detected coming from the interior of the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded the discovery of a metal marijuana grinder containing less than 50 grams of marijuana under the driver’s side front seat and a glass marijuana-smoking pipe. The suspect, Cameron Caminos-Shorman of Medford Township, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of CDS paraphernalia, failure to wear a seatbelt and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of CDS. Caminos was processed and later released on a summons complaint pending a future appearance in the Medford Township Municipal Court.

On Monday, Feb. 6 at 6:18 p.m., Medford Police responded to the 300 block of Hopewell Road for a past tense theft of a log splitter. Medford Police investigation found that unknown subject(s) entered onto the property without permission sometime between Friday, Feb. 3, and Monday, Feb. 6. The subject(s) stole a red and black, North Star horizontal log splitter tow behind valued at $9,500. This incident is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Medford Township Police at (609) 267–8300.

On Sunday, February 5 at 9:38 a.m., the Medford Township Police were notified of a vehicle burglary that had just occurred in the 100 block of Old Marlton Pike. Responding officers located a male, identified as Robert Serio, walking in the area and he matched the description provided by witnesses. Investigation determined that Serio had entered an unlocked vehicle parked along the roadway. Serio was arrested and transported to the Medford Township Public Safety building for processing. He was charged with Burglary and committed to Burlington County Jail to await a bail hearing by a Superior Court Judge at a later time.

On Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 09:22 a.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on a white Honda sedan for a motor vehicle violation in the area of Enclave Court and Mill Street. Upon their approach of the vehicle patrols observed an open container of alcohol on the floor of the vehicle, along with the odor of raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. The vehicle’s occupants were identified as Dionte C. Chapman-Giles (driver), and Nicole Zamagni and a juvenile female who were the passengers. After a search of the vehicle on-scene was conducted patrols located additional open and unopened alcoholic containers and a Ziploc bag containing marijuana. Chapman-Giles, Zamagni, and the juvenile female were subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Medford Township Police Headquarters. Chapman-Giles was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, offering alcoholic beverages to an under-age person, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and maintenance of lamps. Zamagni and the juvenile female were charged with under age possession of alcohol and possessing an open/unsealed container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. All defendants were processed and Chapman-Giles and Zamagni were released on summonses, while the juvenile was released to a parent.
